Delivery

Does Wheeler’s deliver?

Wheeler’s Pharmacy, Wheeler’s Health & Homeopathic Emporium, and Sentinel Dispensary all offer home delivery Monday - Friday within Hout Bay and Surrounds. Orders placed or processed on Weekends and Public Holidays will be delivered the following Weekday.

How do I place my order?

Can you deliver my prescription medication?

Yes, we will happily deliver your prescription medication! Please call (021) 790 3136 or email rxwheelers@mweb.co.za for Wheeler’s Pharmacy, and call (021) 790 3400 or email rxsentinel@mweb.co.za for Sentinel Dispensary deliveries.

What does the delivery service cost?

We offer delivery at a flat fee of R20 within Hout Bay and Surrounds (Llandudno, Constantia Nek). For areas further afield please feel free to enquire.

How do I pay for my delivery?

Our drivers are equipped with credit card machines to take payment on delivery or an EFT can be arranged prior to delivery.

Do you offer any clinic services?

Wheeler’s Pharmacy and Sentinel Dispensary offer a number of clinic services including: immunizations and injections, FIRST AID and wound care, Discovery Vitality screenings, cholesterol and diabetic testing, blood pressure monitoring. Please call (021) 790-3136 to enquire.

Is there an easier way to get my chronic medication?

As an added service, Wheeler’s Pharmacy offers easyblist™ packing of your chronic medication. Blister packs are easy to use and make it simple to take your medicine on time every time. The easyblist™ dispensing system has been developed to improve adherence and simplify complicated chronic prescriptions. Please call Wheeler's Pharmacy on (021) 790-3136 to enquire.

Do you rent out any medical equipment?

We rent out medical equipment including wheelchairs & crutches, nebulizers & humidifiers, commodes & raised toilet seats. Please call (021) 790-3136 to enquire.

Community

As a community pharmacy, are you involved in any community projects?

We have partnered with Hout Bay Masks4all Community Project to donate masks to frontline responders and the most vulnerable members of our community. We are facilitating the sale of their masks at Wheeler’s Pharmacy and Sentinel Dispensary. For more information on the project, please follow our Facebook page.

COVID-19

What precautions are you taking to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus in your pharmacies and health shop?

We have implemented a number of policies and protocols in our stores to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Every customer is required to use the complimentary alcohol-based hand sanitizer we provide at the pharmacy entrance. All of our staff wear perspex face shields and masks, and we request that customers entering the stores wear a mask or a face covering. Customers who do not have masks will not be turned away, but will not be allowed to enter the store - we will serve you at the door. This is in effect until May 1, when it will become mandatory to wear a mask in public (as per the policies of the South African Government). We are strictly adhering to social distancing as we allow only six customers into each of our stores at a time (and we have marked out safe distances to keep on the floor). We have installed Safescreens in all of our stores at each point of service, providing a clear acrylic barrier with customers on one side and assistants on the other. Credit card machines and surfaces are cleaned regularly and we request that customers handle cards themselves. Where possible, we encourage the use of cards over cash at this time.

For your safety and ours, if you or anyone in your family is experiencing flu-like symptoms or any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, please make use of our delivery service.

Are you taking precautions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus when delivering?

Our drivers wear perspex face shields as well as masks, and are equipped with alcohol-based hand sanitizer in their vehicles. Credit card machines used for delivery are sanitized after every transaction. To minimize contact for this time period, the preferred method of payment is an EFT prior to delivery.
